March
The Night of Power when the Qur'an began to be revealed, described as better than a thousand months; a night to be revived with dua and repentance.
The day before Eid, spent in dua, remembrance and preparation; a blessed time especially for those standing at Arafat.
The first day of Eid after a month of fasting, marked by joy, gratitude, brotherhood and visits.
The second day of Eid, when visits continue and hearts are reconciled.
The last day of Eid al-Fitr; an opportunity to share joy and support those in need.
May
The day before Eid, spent in dua, remembrance and preparation; a blessed time especially for those standing at Arafat.
The first day of Eid al-Adha, when sacrifices are offered for the sake of Allah and submission and sharing are strongly felt.
The second day of Eid al-Adha, when sacrifice continues and brotherhood is strengthened through visits and hospitality.
The third day of Eid al-Adha, when joy continues and giving and sharing carry on.
The final day of Eid al-Adha, when the tashriq takbirs continue and the time is valued with gratitude and reflection.
June
The beginning of the new year in the Hijri calendar, reminding of the Hijrah, patience and turning back to Allah.
A blessed day on which, according to narrations, many prophets were granted deliverance; observed with fasting, dua and generosity.
August
The night when the Prophet, mercy to the worlds (peace be upon him), honoured the world with his birth.
December
The start of the blessed three months with Rajab; a great opportunity for spiritual preparation, repentance and renewal.
